Snorkeling

There are many hreat snorkelling sites in Boracay starting atthe end of White Beach.

Crocodile Island“. The island is shaped like a crocodile, not to worry, there are no crocodiles there!  This is an amazing site with banded sea snakes, moray eels, parrot fish, etc. Watch out for the strong currents though.

Other Sites include

– Crystal Caves, which are on Laurel Island.

– Balinghai Cove, which is north of White Beach.

Along White Beach, if you swim out several meters, you will see some fish, including spotted puffer fish, but these fish are white or light brown (which blend in against the sand) so difficult to spot.

Paraw Sailing

Paraw Sailing is a local sail boat activity. The boats use two outriggers and two sails. Experience the traditional way of sailing and discover the best sites around the island, perfect for photography – though do note on days with heavier waves the water can kick up a bit (exciting!). If you schedule your activity for later in the afternoon you can take advantage of the incredible sunset while relaxing on the boat for half an hour. Sea sickness? usually not a problem as the boats tend to stay closer into the shore and cut through the waves very well.  Paraw sailing around Boracay is probably a really good way to ease yourself into the sea and find out how much you like it.

Kitesufing

Kitesurfing in Boracay is a way of life with a big L. Practiced by many people all passionate about one thing, to get out on the water and ride hard. The vibe here is amazing – from kitesurfing in the early mornings on Bulabog beach, the time when everyone starts to have fun practicing their own thing, to the late evenings on the White Beach, where everyone gathers in their favourite restaurant or bar and continues having fun late into the night.

Windsurfing

Windsurfing is especially popular in Boracay because it is a bit safer than kite-boarding and maybe a bit easier to learn. Of course, you won’t lose out on excitement as this sport is still nothing short of exhilarating. Tourists always choose Boracay as a great place to get away from the world and windsurfing only makes that easier as the final step onto the water when you leave that old world behind.

Visitors love the sport of windsurfing because you don’t have to fill up your surfboard at the pump or pay for a lift ticket on the slopes. It’s just you and the wide open sea when you lift your sail and ride on a wind and a prayer. Go ahead and give this activity a chance and you are going to experience the power and force of nature as she pushes you along the waves. You just can’t get that feeling of freedom from 3 cycle engine or a rusty old boat. This is nature at her best as you feel the power of that mighty wind pulling you along.

Many tourists fail to realize how windsurfers are also part of a special little club. There is a tight-woven camaraderie amongst these adventurers who love to sit out on the beach and talk about their personal experiences that day on the waves. Go ahead and spend some quality time with the family in the morning and wait for the best waves in the afternoon. You can even hoist your son or daughter on the board with you if you want. Looks like it’s going to be another great day in Boracay!

Cliff Diving.  Ariels Point.

Cliff diving is an exciting sport that has been enjoyed for centuries by both professionals and amateurs. In the 1700s, Hawaiian warriors were required to jump off the cliffs at Kaunolu to display their courage to King Kahekili, the King of Maui. Landing in the water as straight as possible without making a large splash was considered a commendable feat. Today, cliff diving is a recognized sport held in exotic locations around the world. With high-profile competitions being organized by the World High Diving Federation and Red Bull World Series each year, the popularity of cliff diving for both professionals and amateurs is only expected to grow.

Ariel's Point Cliff Diving

There are five different cliff diving platforms at Ariel’s Point. Their exact distances from the water varies with the incoming and outgoing ocean tides, but the highest platform is 13 to 15 meters above the water. The lower platforms are 7-meters, 6-meters, 5-meters, and 3-meters high. Guests who wish to enter the water without cliff diving can do so by walking to a bamboo dock near the entrance to Ariel’s Point or by climbing down a ladder located near the 3-meter platform.

While cliff diving is a popular sport, please recognize that cliff diving is not for everyone.  Like many outdoor adventure activities such as kite surfing, scuba diving, parasailing, wakeboarding, banana boating, and horseback riding, cliff diving has risks and can result in bodily harm. Cliff diving is not recommended for individuals who have a history of health problems, are taking medication, recently underwent surgery, are afraid of heights, are in poor physical condition, or are uncomfortable with full contact sports. Additionally, pregnant women and young children are not permitted to cliff dive.  All Ariel’s Point guests are required to read and sign a liability waiver during pre-departure registration.  An information and safety briefing is conducted prior to each trip, and lifeguards are stationed at Ariel’s Point to monitor and assist people who choose to cliff dive.  Additionally, there are other outdoor activities for non-cliff diving guests to enjoy during their visit to Ariel’s Point.  If you have any additional questions or concerns, please let us know!
